We believe that we best serve God when we serve others in His name.
To that end, we seek to minister to the needs of those around us that we
might demonstrate Christ’s love to them and so win them to the Lord.
We seek simply to be obedient to God, the results of which will be Kingdom Growth.

This church ministers outside its own walls in various ways:

Wamsutter Energy Ministry—we co-sponsor a special ministry to the oilfield workers in the Wamsutter area. Missionaries Harold and Barbara Lunsford are on the field with a ministry trailer providing refreshments and spiritual support.

Truck Stop Ministries—headed by Chaplain Ken Clark, we have Sunday worship services and other chaplain ministries at the Travel Centers of America (TA) Truck Stop on Interstate 80. We have a stand-alone chapel (converted semi trailer) on location at the truck stop.

Senior Adult Ministries—led by our Associate Pastor for Senior Adults Richard Abington, we have weekly services at Rawlins’ South Central Nursing Home.

Youth and Children’s Ministries—headed by our full-time Youth Pastor Sam Frost, we conduct special activities throughout the year to minister to community children.

Food bank—we give out several boxes of food each month to needy families.

Christian Counseling—we provide this free service, including court-ordered counseling, marriage and pre-marital counseling, to those in need.

Critical Incident Counseling—Pastor Dave has provided trauma counseling to law enforcement and to the staff at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County, as well as to individuals.

Missions Trips—the church participates in Missions Trips on a regular basis to assist others.

Bibles and Tracts—we set up a table at public events, fairs and bazaars and give away spiritual materials as well as lemonade, hot chocolate, etc.

Benevolence—we provide funds for emergency community family needs: medicine, transportation, utilities, etc.
Transients—we provide shelter, gasoline, bus tickets, and food, as needed.

Community Bible Studies—several lay-led off-site Bible studies are ongoing throughout the year.

Law Enforcement Support—Pastor Dave serves as a Rawlins Police Chaplain, spending time each month with officers and staff. Each month the church also provides a plate of cookies and goodies to all our local law enforcement agencies and the fire department.

Prison and Jail Ministry—Pastors Dave and Sam provide weekly worship services to prisoners at the Carbon County jail and the Wyoming State Penitentiary. We also assist prisoners as they are released from incarceration.

Disaster Relief—several persons in our congregation have been trained to serve on our WSBC Disaster Relief Team. We are officially listed on the Carbon County Emergency Preparedness Plan to provide meals during a disaster. Pastor Dave has served as a Disaster Relief Chaplain in national emergencies and is the Disaster Relief Chaplain Trainer for the WSBC.

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts—we provide our facility and some of our people in support of the Scouting mission.
