The biblical tasks of the church are found in:

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT: Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)
Jesus replied: "’Love the Lord your God1 with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.2'”                                                                                                           and
THE GREAT COMMISSION: Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
“Therefore go and make disciples3 of all nations, baptizing4 them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching5 them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

OUR VISION: We seek to PERSONIFY Christ in our Carbon County Community.

PROCLAIM3 the Gospel to all as we
PROFESS2 through ministry our love for others,
PRESERVING4 sweet fellowship of the body and
PREPARING5 true disciples of Christ as we

                             Through all things, we will
                    PRAY without ceasing.

We Believe

GOD THE FATHER is the sovereign Creator revealed in the Holy Scriptures. We worship the one true God who revealed himself fully through his Son Jesus Christ and who continues to reveal himself to us as we seek Him. God is limitless in power, knowledge, wisdom, love and holiness. He has revealed himself as a trinity of eternally coexistent persons—the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He has revealed himself as Father of all who accept Him through Jesus Christ.

JESUS CHRIST is the person at the heart of the Christian faith. He was born of a virgin into human history, He remained sinless throughout his life, He was crucified and He died to pay the price for our sin, He rose again to life, and He is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Salvation for mankind comes through a person’s acceptance of Christ and Him alone as Savior. Christ will return again to the earth, as promised in the Bible, as Lord and King.

THE HOLY SPIRIT is the third person of the trinity and is God’s spiritual presence in the lives of believers. He summons us to Christ, edifies us, convicts us of sin, comforts and empowers us, and intercedes with the Father as an advocate on our behalf. In all his work He does not call attention to himself but always exalts Jesus Christ.

THE BIBLE is the written record of God’s revelation to us. It has God for its author, salvation of mankind for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. It is unique of all the books of the world, and is the solid foundation and truth, teaching us about God. It is historically accurate, all sufficient, and infallible.

THE CHURCH is Christ’s body on earth, the human means through which He accomplishes his work today. All who have accepted Christ are a part of his body, the universal church, and all are to walk in relationship with other believers in a local church as we grow in Him.
